It's like rain.
That first light drizzle.
That's so light, you could hardly feel it.
It's there, but you scarely notice it.
Subtleness. Till it catches you off guard...
A light rain with the sunshine, that brings forth a rainbow.
All those dazzling colours reflecting off the raindrops,
falling thicker now.
You catch one in your palm.
The rest fall everywhere around.
The raindrops glide off your face, your arms, to the ground.
Like a gentle dance of grace.
It amazes you.
But the rain falls thicker, and the sunshine dissapears.
It's a thunderstorm now.
Without knowing what happened,
how it happened-
You are drenched.
You are cold.
You're shivering.
It's the rain.
Only the rain.
Just a rain.
Just a little rain.
The skies are overcast.
Mothers at the playground hasten their children home.
Don't play in the rain.
You'll catch a cold.
I should have known.
