i wonder how i can be so tired simply from doing junior work in attachment, learning staff nurse admin things, trying to finish revising and going church meetings/dance.
If my current tiredness score is 6/10, what on earth will it be when i start in-charge work....
i have been sleeping many hours my rest day and off day yesterday and today...and still am tired XD
Tiredness is ok if it just remains as that and doesnt affect anything. But i realised that first morn shift im tired, its ok. By second consecutive morn shift i still dont get enough sleep, the productivity drops. Which in nursing is dangerous! wah seh....
But then again, im trying to
1. Memorise medications. There's currently 50+ drugs that ive to know the actual and brand name, dosage, special instructions and side effects. By week 4. Mon will be week 3.
2. Revise and be good in my skills. Ive forgotten details of skills ive not done for a long time, and forgotten how to do skills ive passed but never got to do yet.
3. Trying to cope with the swirling emotions. Somehow nursing patients that wont get well isnt what i expected upon joining nursing. And i dont even believe in chemotherapy!
But it hasnt been as bad as the previous time i was in this ward. So i had wondered whether i was coping better this time or becoming more indifferent. And then i realised its too early to compare because ive not done last office yet. That simple procedure that leaves alot of impact.
So all these are on top of attachment plus church. Remind me why i applied for sponsorship?
So i dun have to work, study, and struggle with church commitments.
Work + church
or study + church is ok. Not work + study +church! yes im whining. about having to study in attachments.
But now. no choice. 10 more weeks, just 10 more weeks.
Anyway, i am truly grateful for the prayer meeting on fri. God's presence was really there and ive not felt so rested ever since ive started attachment. Indeed rest wihout God is not true rest.
