Ok I've not properly updated for ages. So this will be a super long post and thus shall probably bore anyone reading it :X This sem (year 3 sem 1) has been super hectic with no breathing space till my hols started last wed, and,
Thank God for hols! (: Been having twice as many ICAs and so many exams, together with NDP and harvest event. Was very glad for the impromtu harvest event that we did, achieved a different kind of objective (:
LSCN course was tramatic. Seriously. It was straight after end-sem exams (which was straight after FYP) And its traumatic enough on its own without having to be sandwiched between exams and attachment. I didnt pass 1 station out of the 4 thus failing the whole thing.
So i won't get the extra cert, but its a good course to learn a lot more (albeit in too short a time) and im glad to have gone for it. Not sure if i'll want to take it in future, though i suppose i would be better prepared by then.
Attachment this time was gerontology posting to AMK. It has a slower pace than an acute hospital which is very good for us because we get to take case and have the luxury of time to adjust after 6 whole months of no attachment! So blessed to have been posted there. (:
The ward staff are also super nice! and my colleagues too, though i didn't know any of them at first. We're all from different classes i think. At least most of us. Would be having my next attachment with some of them, yay, there'll be people i already know (:
Miss some of the cute patients i had :/ elderly can be very cute (:
Had hols from last wed to this fri...10days (: Totally enjoyed myself to the fullest (: Most memorable are
1.) the trip to pulau ubin, which made me feel like ive gone overseas and has lovely butterflies, flowers and weeds (:
2.) Mama mia movie + talking non-stop with my cousin (: (:
3.) Seeing, playing with, feeding and carrying my dear baby nieces, Denise, Danica, and Yuan ling! (: (: (:
Starting mon will be my A&E posting(1 week) followed by OT posting(1 week) God bless me XD
Hope i can do well for this posting...may increase my chance of working in OT next year...
After these 2 weeks, i'll have a 3 weeks hol! (: So Blessed!
