Went to watch
Sabores! with Rui xiang after service on that day. (: Finally managed to meet up with her! After more than 1 whole year! Thanks Ruixiang (:
It was a very excellent performance (: The genre was ballet flamenco, from spain. A totally different dance from any ive ever seen and pretty different from what i expected. I had thought flamenco to be a type of ballroom dance and assumed the performance to be a mixture of ballet and ballroom.
It had a lot of tap dancing, which seems to be a basic aspect of flamenco. But flamenco uses the hands and body as well as feet (: And this cheorography also played with rhythms, music, song, lights and shadows, swishing skirts and changeable costumes, props and a dance storyline (:
On the whole, it was a very exuberant, energetic and elegant dance (: Which we were very thankful for because we were both so tired we would have fallen asleep otherwise. So glad to have gotten to watch it, student prices are blessings from heaven :D
Though we were really tired, really enjoyed the time with her (: Hope we can have chances to talk more. hahaha :X
