I wasn't supposed to post until today. I have made 5 illegal posts :/ It's nice to blog, especially when you are 'allowed' too, hehe :) Today is composed of too many different feelings. Firstly:tired-slept at 2 and woke up at 6. Better than the day of Bio practical. I woke up at 5 that day. But I still felt tired. Secondly:scared!-though I'm supposed to trust God and not be afraid. The panic till started at 8, until 10 when the paper started. Thirdly:relief-when I started on physics because it was actually easy! :))) haha, PTL! :))) Should be okay if I'm actually accurate.
The physics practical: Clamp one side of the ramp provided on the retort stand 5 cm from the bench. (the other side should lie on the bench. so tt it's a slope.) Then put the wooden cylinder on the marked lengths of the ramp and time how long it takes for the cylinder to roll down. Repeat 3 times for each length. Fill in your results in the table provided, find the average for each length, square the average. Draw a straight line graph. Dist on the vertical axis and the square of your average results on the horizontal axis. Find the gradient. Ta-da! End of experiment :) To think I studied electricity and all those formulas. Fourthly:Happy! :)) (after physics)
Then I did chemistry. Fifthly Sixthly Seventhly: scared confused ESPERATED. Chemistry practical was neither easy nor very hard. So-so to hard lah. Still harder than last year's. But I think physics was easier than last year's. Though i didn't do last year's physics paper.
The chemistry practical (a summary): T is a salt. (so there's two parts to its big name) You are given a solid of T and some liquid T. Carry out the following tests. You are expected to suggest the identity of salt T. Upon heating my white crystal solid T it first turned a colourless liquid. After it cooled I heated it again. The solid turned yellow. Which turned white again after cooling. Property/trait exclusive to the metal zinc. And I thought, YAY! T is named zinc something! Then after following tests, liguid T wasn't soluble in excess aqueous ammonia. Meaning it is not zinc, but aluminium or lead. But aluminium or lead doesn't turn yellow when hot and white when cold. It's exclusive to zinc. Hai yoh. So esperating! I shake and shake the stupid test tube hoping that the white ppt would dissolve in the excess ammonia so I have the peace of mind to put the first name of T as zinc. Until I 'shou shuan'. My friend later told me he vigorously strirred the mixture in the test tube after his shaking failed.
Anyway. Subsequent tests showed the second name of T was nitrate. Which I got wrong as I somehow got a negative test. So I put the name of T as Zinc Chloride. I think the correct name is Zinc Nitrate. Everyone was confused as to whether T was Zinc, Aluminium or Lead(II) nitrate. I think Zinc is correct. But Chloride is wrong. Means zero for that part. Because Cambridge doesn't give half marks. Oh wells. Thus Eightly: nervous I'm better now though. God won't let me do too badly lah :)))
Thereafter the exams shift two was sent up into the hall where we were held captive for 2 hours till 1.30. Luckily the misfortune of being in shift 1 didn't befall me. I would be so bored lah. They are like locked up for 4 hours. So pitiful. Anyway. I calmed down and practised the pictoral drawing of the gospel with Lisa. She had done that hw the day before so she was like helping me. Actually Lisa and I went on the veg. fast for three days for this hw. haha. Stressful hw. Share gospel leh! Evelyn, my room partner in the Malyasia school trip this year and Lisa's exco friend came and asked us what we were doing. Ninethly,Tenthly (is there such a word?) A little scared, hopeful. And so Evelyn was my 'guniea pig' for my hw. And she said yes leh!!!!!! eleventhly: elated!!!:)))) Oh PTL PTL PTL :))))
I'm supposed to do ABCD. But I didn't. I just couldn't. I was afraid that, erm, she didn't really understand and that I might say the wrong thing. Somebody scold me. But I invited her to cell. And she's coming!!!:))) OH YES YES YES :)) Haha. Hopefully after our round of sharing of our conversion and ming's word on salvation, she would accept christ? :))) Lisa and I are going on veg. fast tomorrow for Sat. Oh yes yes. God hears prayers :))). But she can't stay for service. (Os are coming) So everyone please keep conversion story short ok? So there's time for Evelyn to do ABCD with her after cell. :) She's leaving at 4.30pm. :/ So time constrianing! Opps. would that be stressing mings further. haha. God would be with her lah. I'm sure she'll lead a wonderful word :)
